Hi, Previous to 2016, the Introduction course had a fairly standard format: every week, students were to read a portion of an information literacy textbook, watch a video, and then make a forum post. The final project was a 10-item annotated bibliography. In the summer of 2016, the course was redesigned to use a more varied format and educational resources and to be more ambitious in its coverage using design thinking. The project began with brainstorming topics that should be covered (some old and some new) and then organizing them into cohesive groups by week. In the fall of 2016, the course re-launched with new learning objectives and a varied collection of zero-cost course materials. It has continued to change iteratively in successive semesters based on feedback gathered from students using mid-semester surveys and course evaluations. Now, the Information Literacy Course is also being redesigned using a similar process. Thanks! For more details: 2d Animation Explainer
